Network Magic displays a notification
when your computer connects to another network, unless you turn off the
notification. The notification indicates that you appear to be connected
to another network and—with
a click—provides
you with options on how to proceed. For more information, see Set
up notifications for other networks.
Part of the Windows taskbar, typically at the lower right of your display,
that generally includes the Network Magic icon.
Network Magic notifications pop up and tell you what is new in your network
(for example, there are new shared folders).
After Network Magic detects this type of connection, you can quickly specify
how you want to continue (for example, you are using another network temporarily).
Network Magic does not scan the other network for detection of its computers
and devices.
Your computer does not attempt to exchange routine, network status information
with other computers in your home network (that is, because you are not
connected to the network).
Similarly, other computers in your network do not attempt to exchange the
same information with your computer, since your computer does not have
a regular connection to the network.
